 Like his brother Yu Kurosaki, Makoto Kurosaki trained under Hiroshi Kato san in Takefu, and has become a skilled craftsman in his own right. Kurosaki-san is an expert sharpener and a knife “designer” of sorts. He works with local blacksmiths including Kato san, Ikeda san and his brother Yu Kurosaki obtain blades and select their design, sharpening and branding them himself.

For this series the blade features a stainless damascus cladding, while the VG7 core is expertly hardened to 61.5+ HRC. This ensures an edge that not only sharpens with ease but holds its keen bite through extensive use everyday.

    Use and Care

    - Do not attempt to cut, hit or chop frozen products or bones. The blade can chip or break.

    - Hand wash with warm water and towel dry.

    - Use a sharpening stone to maintain the sharpness of the blade.

    - Do not use a dishwasher to clean your knife.
